For the Love of All That Is Holy, Please Just Rinse Your Sprayer.

The job is done. The equipment is loaded. You’re ready to go home.

Your sprayer? It still has cleaning chemical sitting in the pump, hose, and jets.

Whether you use a G3, Penguin, Emperor, or S.U.D.S., one of the easiest, least expensive maintenance habits is a fresh-water rinse at the end of the workday. With a rinse jug ready, it takes about 30 seconds.

G3 · Penguin · Emperor — Different sprayers. Same end-of-day habit.

“I’ve always used this chemical” doesn’t guarantee it’s compatible. Viton seals resist many chemicals, but the ingredients, dilution, temperature, and contact time all matter. We explain those limits in “Viton Seals Are Tough, but Is Your Cleaning Chemical Too Tough?”

Leaving chemical in the sprayer overnight adds exposure time. Here’s a simple way to reduce it.

THE END-OF-DAY RINSE

Keep a compatible jug of fresh water ready.

1. Turn the pump off and relieve pressure through the spray gun.

2. Disconnect the chemical jug and transfer your dip-tube assembly to the fresh-water jug.

3. Reconnect the solution line and turn the pump on.

4. Spray into a suitable collection container for approximately 15–20 seconds, continuing until the chemical has cleared and fresh water comes through the jets.

Even easier: Keep a jug with dip tube and quick disconnect ready. Simply swap the connection from your chemical jug to your rinse jug and flush.

Fresh water goes through the pump, through the hose, and out the jets. Congratulations—you did it.

The linked 2.5-gallon jug offers “Jug only” and “Jug with dip tube” options for G3 and S.U.D.S. sprayers. For Penguin or Emperor, confirm the appropriate jug and connection for your model before ordering.

Allow extra time if needed to clear the solution completely. Follow the chemical label’s flushing and disposal instructions, and never mix cleaning products.

A rinse helps reduce leftover chemical exposure. It won’t repair damaged seals or make an incompatible chemical safe.

Your pump will thank you. Stainout Manufacturing will thank you. And tomorrow morning, when your sprayer is ready to work, you’ll thank yourself.

For the love of all that is holy, please just rinse your sprayer.
